Meet Kasia - How a Fiber Artist Was Born

I am Kasia (pronounced:  kaa sha), humanitarian, wife, mother, grandmother, and artist.

I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT MY MISSION to share my Love and Light in the form of LoveLights (c) ~ my healing color Mandalas. Mandalas are a form of sacred geometry and I create LoveLights(c) mandalas using hand dyed fabrics, special threads and embellishments. I am happy to share them with you in my portfolio.  It is my hope that you will visit often, and are blessed by the work of my hands.

I turned 50 with a bang!!  My appendix ruptured and I was critically ill.  It was during this time that Spirit touched my heart in the form of mandalas ~ sacred circles.  I began to see circles everywhere I looked and naturally, they found their way into my sewing.

I can't remember a time when I didn't sew.  From doll clothes as a child to creating my own clothes early on, my seamstress and tailoring skills evolved into teaching for Stretch and Sew Fabrics.  These techniques then translated into Wearable Art.  My garments won recognition both locally and nationally.  Consequently, I discovered the joy of teaching and lecturing at guild meetings and area quilt shops.  Then I was invited to join MArQ ~ Milwaukee Art Quilters group and began the journey into the area of art quilts. In 2003,  I met artist/teacher David Walker. He had a profound effect on my self esteem and a Fiber Artist was born.

I invite you to view my art created using fine fabrics, threads, beads, and embellishments infused with color energy. See labyrinths, hidden name, LoveLightsTM mandalas, and commissioned fiber art.
