Dear One -
I did it! Thanks for being here for me. Knowing that I would report in to you gave me the drive. It took several days and many hours of letting go, but my mission is accomplished. The Studio is now clean, organized into work zones, and purged of old ideas, false starts, and UFO's (unfinished objects) that were mentally placing a load on my shoulders and causing me to feel overwhelmed. I was always playing catch up and beat the clock. In other words, my fun time was becoming stressful and the hunt to find things; "I know it's here somewhere", didn't help the situation!
As Peter Walsh says in 'It's All Too Much', "Living with memories from the past may seem sentimental and romantic, and living for the future may seem ambitious and hopeful. They're both true ~ You have to enjoy living in the now. It's all you have. When you do that, you can take genuine pleasure in planning the future and remembering the past. You're no longer hiding in one or the other." Thank you Peter, your words set me free.
So now, this IS a new day and a fresh start. The 2011 Challenge for the Milwaukee Art Quilters, 'The Blues' is due next month. I now feel free to start on it today. I will be happy to share this process with you in future posts. Any questions?
Next on my 2011 goal list is 'Clean Eating'. After the holiday blast of sugar consumption (I tried to say "No" to all those cookies and chocolate treats), I am ready to declare "Water is my friend". But that is another subject for another day. For now, I am off to my clean and calm studio for some FUN.
Until Next Time - Live Your Dream!
